Vacancy: Tourism Advisor

Tripathon Travel is an international online tourism company looking for Tourism Advisors/Operations Specialists/Call Center Agents with excellent English (43 hours per week)

Role Summary:

As a Tourism Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to advise travel agencies on suitable travel options aligned with their clients’ needs and capabilities. You will assist in planning trips to both domestic and international destinations, covering aspects such as accommodation, tours, transport, and insurance. A crucial aspect of your role is to guide agencies in selecting the most appropriate options within specified time and budget constraints.

Furthermore, you will be tasked with managing existing reservations, ensuring effective communication with clients, and handling any modifications, cancellations, or issues related to their bookings. This includes providing information on cancellation procedures and applicable penalties. Your role extends beyond initial planning to ongoing support, ensuring a seamless experience for clients and travel agencies alike.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will provide support to travel agencies for the basic technical use of the Tripathon system, addressing any straightforward issues to ensure a seamless integration of our services into their operations.

Job Description

  • Manage the booking system of Tripathon
  • Handle the management of the suppliers’ systems
  • Assist agencies with technical use of Tripathon system
  • Support agencies with their daily requests (online and offline)
  • Monitor the system when errors affecting bookings
  • Provide high level of service to clients
  • Arrange bookings and modify existing bookings
  • Prepare offers & quotations, give advice and share knowledge/expertise about hotels, services, destinations
  • Reply to e-mails, online chats and take phone calls to serve the requests of different agencies
  • Negotiate, compare, fish for best possible deals, get refund
  • Cover evening shift 1-2 times every week (after the training period)
  • Coordinate issues with other departments in company (sales, tariff, packages, accounts)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Travel Industry or related field.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in the same role
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
  • Build rapport and collaborate with others internally and externally.
  • Good Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.
  • Extensive, accurate product knowledge.
  • Work experience in Customer Support division will be a plus
  • Detail-oriented & flexible
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Successful at cooperating and coordinating with multiple teams and individuals
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
